多様な会員が持つ複眼的な切り口で、現代社会が抱える様々な問題を見据えて、ピンホール写真芸術のグローバルな展開を図るために、2007年6月、ピンホール写真芸術学会を立ち上げました。
本学会の目的は、ピンホール写真を一つの切り口として、今私たちが将来世代のために真剣に考えなくてはいけない「スローな生き方」について、会員個々人が芸術的営為を通じて改めて問い直すきっかけを提供することです。
そのために会員として、写真家はもとより、地質学者、ジャーナリスト、行政書士など様々な分野で活躍している方々が参加しています。
会員の輪が広がり活動が活発化しつつある今こそ、本学会は、多様な立場と視点から「現代」を見つめ直し、気づきや学びや喜びを与えあう場であることを再確認したいと思います。

The Pinhole Photographic Art Society was established in June 2007 to focus on various issues in modern society and seek out the global potential for pinh ole photography, taking advantage of the diversified views presented by the various members of the society.
One of the main aims of the society is to provide members with the opportunity to reconsider a “way to live a slow life” through their pinhole art activities.
We consider this an essential issue for the next generations. In pursuit of this aim, the society is made up of not only photographers but also a number of other specialists, such as geologists, journalists, and solicitors.
The membership has become more diversified and its involvement more active. Therefore, we believe it is time for us to focus on the present from various standpoints and viewpoints, and acknowledge society as a place where we can give inspiration, and offer learning opportunities and pleasure to each other.
